December, 15, 2017
In recognition of their high-quality design, communications, and marketing work, members of the University of Delaware’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (UD PCS) were recently honored with four national awards at the annual University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA) Marketing and Enrollment Management Seminar in Washington, D.C.
Selected from hundreds of submissions received by UPCEA, winning entries exhibited excellence in 26 categories across eight divisions: Print Publications, Print Advertising, Outdoor/Exhibit Signage, Broadcast Advertising, Mixed Media Campaign, Most Improved, Strategic Recruitment Marketing Plan, and Interactive Media.
Members of the UD PCS marketing and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute teams earned a gold award in the Print Publications Catalog/Tabloid category for their Fall 2017 Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Wilmington Catalog. The marketing team also earned a gold award in the Mixed Media Campaign category for UD PCS’ “Invest in YOU!” campaign and two silver awards for their Fall 2017 Educational Opportunities Guide and their 2016 Impact Report.
UD PCS Marketing and Communication Manager Steven Kendus attributes the awards to teamwork and collaboration within and across the teams. “Producing top-quality, appealing and effective marketing and communications pieces takes the skill, effort and subject matter expertise of various people,” says Kendus. “Our strong team of planners, writers, designers, reviewers and strategic thinkers consistently work together to create useful messages and communications pieces for our audience of non-traditional learners.”
