Professional Development Virtual Info Session set for July 18
Learn about short-term professional development programs for working professionals and current students
A free live-online information session is being held Thursday, July 18, 7-8 p.m. for anyone interested in learning more about fall 2024 professional development programs offered by the University of Delaware’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (UD PCS).
Providing high-level program overviews, the virtual sessions give prospective learners opportunities to ask questions of program faculty and staff and learn about the programs, including career services available to most students and graduates of UD PCS noncredit programs.
Helping professionals advance in their careers and providing undergraduate and graduate students with additional resume-building skills and certifications, the following short-term certificate programs and courses will be highlighted:
- Brewing Science and Brewery Operations
- Clinical Trials Management
- Drone Pilot Training
- Instructional Design
- Montessori Teacher Training
- Nonprofit Leadership
- Paralegal
- Project Management
- RN Refresher
- Social Media and Digital Marketing
Programs planned for launch in 2025 will also be highlighted and include Cybersecurity, Dynamic Leadership, Python Programming, Strategic Communication, and Technical Writing.
Other programs offered this fall include fundamental and advanced training in Microsoft Excel, college test preparation, and self-paced online classes in a variety of business and information technology topics.
Most UD PCS programs are offered online, in a live videoconferencing or self-paced format, and can be completed in about three months.
Payment plans, discounts or scholarships are available for most programs and include discounts for veterans and members of the military, groups of two or more, professional associations, and UD alumni, students and employees.
