Acquire a skill that will provide a long-term benefit by taking Introduction to Project Management for UD Employees. Our unique, 16.5-hour introductory course designed for UD employees explores the powerful and versatile concept of project management. Transferable to all work environments, the lessons can be applied and used to manage any project, no matter how simple or complex it may be.
The class covers the integration of project management processes with the global standards of the Project Management Institute®. Upon completion, you will be able to apply effective project management approaches to align the project lifecycle to any organization’s strategic plans.
This program is offered in collaboration with the UD IT Project Management Office (IT PMO), and includes one session that provides an overview of UD’s internal technology request project management process, as well as the role UD IT PMO plays to support various users on campus.

Introduction to Project Management for UD Employees
LOCATION: Live-online
SCHEDULE: Tuesdays, Feb. 27-May 7, 2024, 1-2:30 p.m.
PARTICIPANT COST: $450 (No further discount can be applied, and this course is not eligible for fee waiver benefit.)
ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS: All full-time or part-time UD employees, as well as eligible spouses, domestic partners and dependents, are eligible to enroll at the UD-only cost of $450 per person.
Instructor
Barbara Cullis, MBA, PMP, CSM
Barbara Cullis, director of the project management curriculum for UD’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies, is a retired faculty program director of technology projects and instructor of management information systems (MIS) for the Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems in UD’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics. Along with leading the MIS senior capstone program and the Global Enterprise Technology (GET) Immersion Internship experience, Cullis taught undergraduate, graduate and professional development courses and workshops in IT project management and enterprise architecture. Her IT career has spanned 35 years in both the public and private sectors and included strategic leadership on global enterprise resource planning, supply chain, data center builds and recovery projects. Cullis received her B.S. in business administration from Marymount College and graduated from the inaugural class of the executive MBA program at Penn State. A self-proclaimed IT project management geek, she became a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) in 1996, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) in 2000, a certified Scrum Master in 2007 and a certified PMI® Authorized Training Partner in 2020. Cullis also served on the PMI-Delaware Valley Chapter Academic Outreach Council.
